Item Description

Mirror-bright, brassy, complex pyrite cuboctahedrons and crystal fragments, to 1.8 cm, are nicely scattered on the starkly contrasting snow-white dickite clay-covered matrix. The beautiful iridescence adds much pizzazz to the crystals. The sulfide zone of this famous mine, renowned for world-class azurite and malachite specimens, has recently given up small numbers of these sharp crystals. Most have a black bornite coating, so this is an exceptional and excellent example.
