A superlative ring of intergrown lustrous, striated, tabular navy-blue azurite prisms is dramatically set in a vug atop sturdy sculptural gossan matrix. The scattered green chrysocolla blebs and unknown massive pastel blue-green material are stark and excellent contrast to the rich blue of the azurite crystals. The azurite glows with electric-blue color under bright light and the piece looks great from either side. Excellent and classic Morenci Mine azurite of unusual style.
