Item Description

A highly unusual Muzquiz celestine. A textbook, tabular celestine spearpoint with a striking water-clear termination is dramatically accompanied by a twisted translucent celestine crystal with a sawtooth edge. The limpid termination is pristine. The other edge of the twisted crsytal is a cleave, but is certainly only a modest detraction to this strange looking celestine from this well-known locale. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 7283 and acquired from Willard Perkin in Glendale in 1974. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Rare style celestine from Muzquiz.
