An exceptionally heavy coating of bright, sharp, golden chalcopyrite sphenoids on this RARE, fine FLOATER, lustrous and translucent bi-colored fluorite cube from the famous Denton Mine. The sphenoids reach 4 mm. The amber core of the densely stepped-growth cube is highlighted by the sharp purple edge phantoms. This striking floater combination is pristine, with the back and bottom of the fluorite having fabulous stepped-growth. Ex Ted Bartels Collection. Previously in the Ross Lillie Collection and recovered during pillar robbing in April, 1990. Chalcopyrite is RARE from the Denton Mine and this an outstanding, rich combination.
