Item Description

Lustrous, translucent, bone-white gypsum has pseudomorphed four sharp flattening prismatic glauberite crystals to form a dramatically intergrown, very sculptural specimen famous Camp Verde. Glauberite is a rare Na-Ca sulfate and this ancient salt-clay-gypsum mining area is famous for such unusual pseudomorphs. Calcite also pseudomorphs glauberite from here. In great shape, overall, with only a couple of dinged edges. Acceptable for such a soft mineral. This artistic piece has multiple display views.
