Rhodochrosite w/ Aragonite (W.S. Logan Coll.)

Pretty pastel-pink bubbly rhodochrosite botryoids cover the sculptural matrix wedge of sulfides and rhodochrosite on this showy specimen from this well-known Greek mine. Tiny calcite or aragonite stalactites sprinkled about the piece add much character, especially the "forest" at on end. Some of the stalactites in the middle fluoresce white, suggesting they may be rare aragonite. A shapely and excellent two-sided rhodo from this classic locale from the W.S. Logan Rhodochrosite Collection # X60-8.
