Item Description

Sharp, tightly intergrown copper spinel-twins and tetrahexahedral crystals form a large, very sculptural, elongated, flattened, two-sided arborescent floater specimen from the famous Cole Mine at Bisbee. The striking large spinel-twin on one side is 1.5 cm and the piece has been lightly cleaned to bring out the pretty coppery patina. A significant find, as even the mine level is known. Classic, excellent and artistic large crystallized copper from the Ted Bartels Collection.
