Item Description

Gorgeous sprays of gemmy emerald-green annabergite blades richly and aesthetically cover the sculptural vuggy gossan matrix on this very fine miniature from the famous locale. Annabergite, uncommon hydrated Ni-arsenate, is the nickel analogue of erythrite, a hydrated Co-arsenate. The historic mines of the Lavrion District have produced outstanding examples and the ancient Km-3 Mine is known for the world's best annabergite specimens (MINDAT).
