Fluorite (rich color)

Item Description

I've seen this material labeled as coming from near Kabul, or Nuristan or even Kandahar, but nobody seems to be able to pin down an exact locality, so I 'm leaving it simply as Afghanistan. This piece is satured for the size, and remarkably gemmy. It has a super strong green hue which actually grades into a very thin purple layer and a beige color at the other end. It's more of a reference piece as it's not terribly well-crystallized, but the color and obscure locality make it interesting. These specimens came out around 10 years ago, and I really haven't seen them since, so it was obviously a very limited find.
