Item Description

The famous Muzo Emerald Mine is the Type Locality of this rare REE carbonate. This excellent thumbnail specimen is a slightly tapered, lustrous, translucent, waxy yellowish-brown pseudohexagonal crystal. A showy and highly representative example of this rarity from Colombia. There are about three localities in the world for good Parisite-(Ce) crystals: Mt Malosa, Malawi; Zagi Mt, Pakistan and the best crystals which are from the Muzo Mine.
