Item Description

An exotic, very colorful and sculptural free form floater native copper plate from Bisbee. Starkly contrasting green malchite and numerous clusters and isolated crystals of tiny gemmy cuprite crystals add much pizzazz to the variably oxided copper. The plates on both sides of the top look like the bony plates of a Stegosaurus dinosaur, adding even more character to this impressive large copper. Old-time excellent material from the Paterson Museum and was a gift from the Copper Queen Mining Company on August 7, 1939. 1422 grams or 3.1 pounds mass.
