Mexican Fire Opal is famous around the world. The best of these gems are stunning with their glowing rich warm hues and classic "jelly"-like appearance. We have noticed that the price of good Fire Opals is on the rise, and less and less material seems to be available on the market. This is a vivid example of this classic material with a FIERY reddish orange color and an elongated "Oval Cabochon" cut. This one certainly possesses the highly desirable "jelly" appearance that I mentioned earlier. Very good size and quality on this one.
