Spinel (with interesting inclusions)

Spinel is another gem that comes in a great range of colors. Most people are familiar with the Ruby Spinels, but a large percentage of Spinels out there are not red. This is a beautiful blue Spinel stone. It is an attractive gem with a rich deep blue color which is rarer in Spinel than most other shades. There is an unknown inclusion present in this gem, which we cannot identify, but some have guessed they could be Calcite or possibly micro Spinels inside of the stone. The gem is VVS in clarity, and has an "Oval Brilliant" cut. This is a good quality Spinel with a fine color that looks best in sunlight. The high retail price on this gem is approximately $245.25
