Everybody knows Fluorite as a species, but it's not often seen in gemstones considering how common it is on the market. Fluorites come in virtually all colors of the rainbow, and are some of the few gems that occur in multicolor stones. I've seen this type of Fluorite from China, but I was really surprised to see stones like this from Argentina. I can promise that this stone comes from a trusted source so I know that it's authentic. You can see that the center of the stone features a gorgeous "ribbon" of imperial purple color in the middle of blue-green Fluorite. It's a very attractive gem with a "Rectangle Cabochon" cut. The starting bid puts the stone just over $2.50 per carat which is WELL below wholesale on this stone.
