Phenakite is one of the rarer stones out there, and some lesser known Phenakites have come from a well documented deposit in Burma. Phenakite is often pale in color, but the stones are usually bright, and they are durable enough to be worn in jewelry. The Phenakites from Burma are typically not gemmy enough to cut stones of any significance, so to find a stone of this size from this area is rare to say the least. This stone is a very attractive, colorless, very very slightly included "Step Oval" cut stone.
