Ruby / Zoisite

This is very attractive and well known material, but rarely does one find a piece like this. These Ruby / Zoisite specimens were found in Tanzania in 1954 (sometimes referred to as "Anyolite" after the Massai word for green), and are very popular among collectors either as cabochons or for carvings. This piece is a nice "Heart" cabochon stone of Ruby / Zoisite as it shows the hexagonal form of the deep pink-red Ruby crystals with surrounding green Zoisite. This is one of the more attractive pieces of Ruby / Zoisite that I have offered in the auctions recently. Don't miss out on this one as it is one of the few I have to offer with this form.
