A fantastic faceted orange Sapphire gem from Tunduru, which has been producing some excellent stones for 20+ years. This eye-catching little sparkler, and is virtually eye clean with a lovely "Round Brilliant" cut. The color is pretty saturated for the size (it's a bit more saturated in person than the photos indicate), which is due to the fact that the stone has been heated to help increase the color. Now this treatment is a perfectly safe and accepted practice in the gem world, so long as the buyer knows that it has been heated. Orange Sapphires are RARE and to have a clean eye-catching stone like this from Tunduru is quite rare in my experience. For all the colors of Sapphire (they literally are found in every color), orange stones are among the hardest to obtain. Priced at $800 per carat high retail.
