Aventurine is a Mica-bearing variety of Quartz that is known for it lovely green hues, but can also is found in blue, orange or yellow stones. The material is almost always cut into cabochons, but is also used for landscaping stone and even in aquariums. The best Aventurine stones have a beautiful glistening appearance. This stone is a great Aventurine with rich color and excellent translucency when backlit. The gem has "Oval Cabochon" cut and shows a strong green color.
