Amblygonite is a relatively rare stone and is only found from a few localities in top gem material. Stone that approach five carats like this gem are highly sought after by collectors, and deeply appreciated by those who have experience with rare gems. This particular stone has a light straw-yellow color, and has an "Oval Brilliant" cut. The stone has some visible inclusions, but it's over 8 carats!, which is not common for the material. Amblygonite is too soft and brittle for jewelry, so these are only collector's stones, but they are not very common today in ANY size.
