Item Description

Here is a lovely Emerald from an uncommon locality. Beryls come in virtually every color and have some of the most vivid and rich pinks, yellow, blues and GREENS of any gems out there. This gem is a vibrant green "Emerald" gem with very good clarity. Emerald is classified as a type-3 gemstone which means that inclusions in the stones are acceptable in the trade for collectors and dealers, so this stone is fine quality, as the inclusions are minimal at best. There is a bit of color banding with slight colorless zones between the beautiful green Emerald. As I mentioned, this is not a Colombian Emerald, but rather a rarely seen gem from the Swat District of Pakistan! Gems from this area are rare and expensive on the market. We actually purchased this stone direct from the source, which is why we're able to offer it for a low starting bid of $100. These stones are not common from any locality, let alone Pakistan! The high retail value is $336.
