Item Description

Here is something that truly isn't as common as one might think. Beryls come in virtually every color and have some of the most vivid and rich pinks, yellow, blues and GREENS of any gems out there. Cat's Eye stones are created by orienting the stone perpendicular to the tiny fibrous inclusions inside which in turn reflect the light causing an "eye" to appear. This gem is a vibrant green "Roval Cabochon" gem with a good quality "eye" running across the stone. The stone was photographed using a strong pen light to show off the "eye" better. This stone has good translucency, color and size. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a Colombian Emerald, but rather a rarely seen gem from the Swat District of Pakistan! Gems from this area are rare and expensive on the market. We actually purchased this stone direct from the source, which is why we're able to offer it for a low starting bid of $100. These stones are not common from any locality, let alone Pakistan! Retail value is $228.00.
