Item Description
Montana is well known for its Sapphires. Here we have a beautiful natural unheated green (with a blue overtone) Sapphire from one of the most productive localities for the material in North America. This fine little sparkler is a nearly eye clean "Oval Brilliant" cut gem. This would make a great addition to a Sapphire suite, or a suite of gems from the United States. A very attractive gem for this classic U.S. Sapphire locality. Blue is the most desirable color for Sapphire around the world, and to have a fine natural unheated blue stone is one of the most highly sought after stones in the gem world. I've seen these stones sell for $1,000 per carat and more at major gem shows this year.
