Scapolite (rare colorless gem)

Item Description

A cool Scapolite gem from Afghanistan. It is a beautiful, essentially colorless stone with an "Emerald" cut. These gems came out circa 2005, and are probably the best examples of this colorless variety of Scapolite that we've seen. A rare stone collector can certainly appreciate the rarity of a piece like this. Very slight inclusions, but how often does one see colorless Scapolite on the market?
