Here we have a very attractive pinkish purple red Rhodolite Garnet from east Africa (most likely Tanzania). The color is very saturated, but when it is well lit, the color really comes out. It is nearly eye clean with a beautiful "Concave Quantum Round Brilliant" cut. The color is just gorgeous in this gem, and you don't see as many of these stones from east Africa on the market these days. These have sky-rocketed in price recently, as rough seems to be in limited quantity, and a lot of stones are being purchased in larger markets like Thailand, India and China.
