Aurichalcite and Hemimorphite

Item Description

Beautiful, acicular crystals of the copper-mineral Aurichalcite, from the legendary 79 Mine in Arizona. The vivid, blue-green starbursts create a virtual fireworks display that fills the vug in this excellent, and dazzling, thumbnail. And just like with the best of fireworks displays, there are accompanying clusters of bladed Hemimorphites that are bursts in their own right. This was #9983 in Kay's collection, acquired in 1983.
