Item Description

An eye-visible seam of crystals on this rich specimen of the gold telluride, Calaverite, from the famous Cripple Creek district in Colorado. Silvery-golden in color, these 2-3 mm crystals have a superb metallic luster. The crystal habit ranges from slender and prismatic to blocky, and all the Claverites simply gleam as the light reflects of off their mirrror-like surfaces. This is a fine locality piece, and was #7188 in Kay's collection.
