Item Description

Very rich, fine specimen of lustrous, burnt-orange, pyramidal Scheelite crystals to 3 mm that cover a matrix of Quartz and Mica (var. Zinnwaldite). This excellent, old-time small cab is from historic Zinnwald, on the Czech side of the fabled Erzgebirge. Save for one small area of exposed matrix, this classic piece is essentially pristine and has the typical, bright white fluorescence of Scheelite. This was #12,884 in Kay's collection. Superb and rich with crystals for this rare locality material!
