Item Description

These crystals of Chromian Clinoclore (var: "Kammererite") completely cover one side of the matrix with a beautiful, rich, and sparkly coating. The Kammererite, as it has been historically known, is the rare, chrome-rich variety of Clinochlore, and there is nothing that quite matches the vivid, reddish-purple hue. These crystals are lustrous, translucent to gemmy, and many are zoned! The size of the Kammererites ranges from several mm down to micro size, but the visual impact is far greater than the size would suggest. The two mines at Kop Daglari are justifiably famous for the Kammererites found decades ago. This was #9398 in Kay's collection.
