Item Description

This is a striking and beautiful specimen of attractive pseudomorphs of forest green Malachite replacing "rosettes" of Azurite from BRAZIL of all places. We think of gem crystals or even Gold or Diamonds when it comes Brazil, but secondary ore minerals are seldom seen. The famous locality at Seabra has given collectors some really impressive specimens that remind me of specimens from Arizona. The largest "rosette" measures 1.6 cm across, and the piece is undamaged on the display side. From the collection of Rolando Gioia (a contributor to new definitive book on Brazilian minerals: "Minerais e Pedras Preciosas do Brasil").
