Microcline with Albite (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

A notably eye-catching display specimen of two common Feldspar species. The piece is highlighted by a pair of beige colored, blocky, prismatic Microcline crystals measuring up to 4.1 cm which are associated with white flowing "rosettes" of Albite and minor accenting bronze colored Muscovite here and there. I can't see any damage of note, and the piece displays beautifully from several angles. The Microcline crystals have a slight amount of etching which have created slightly hollow cavities near the terminations, giving the piece a somewhat ethereal appearance. A very attractive cabinet piece that would make a fine addition to any display collection or a suite of Feldspars. Valued at $1200.
