Tourmaline (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

A gemmy, rich blue-green colored Tourmaline specimen from the famous Pederneira Mine in Brazil. A sharp, lustrous, striated prism that actually shows distinct color zoning ranging from notably blue to distinctly green in areas. The trigonal termination is complete, though it has a spot below the surface that gives the appearance of a ding, but it's undamaged. The smaller sidecar crystal unfortunately is contacted, but it doesn't take away from the overall appeal of this fine thumbnail specimen.
