Item Description

Here we have a nice thumbnail specimen of rich green Apatites from the famous Sapo mine from a few years ago. These crystals have a hexagonal prismatic form, with thin pyramidal modifications on the terminations. The ends of the crystals are nearly colorless. This piece hosts a handful of very sharp and lustrous Apatites measuring up to 1.1 cm sitting on minor Albite matrix. The Apatites are doubly-terminated and very showy. I can see a few tiny dings here and there, but it's still in very good shape overall. It appears that Sapo may never produce these attractive specimens of these unusual Apatites again.
