Item Description

A parallel group of rich green colored, very gemmy, lustrous, striated prismatic Tourmaline with minor pinkish-purple Lepidolite from Coronel Murta. Now it must be noted that Lepidolite is no longer a valid mineral species, and according to the scattered information we found, Lepidolite is defined as a mineral in the so-called Polylithionite-Trilithionite series. We're still calling it Lepidolite for the purposes of this specimen. Selective pyramdial terminations on the specimen show the dark "black head" effect that is sometimes seen in Tourmalines from this area. Minor roughness in areas keeps it from being 100% perfect, but it's still incredibly GEMMY (clean enough to facet gemstones) and the color is beautiful when backlit. The specimen weighs 14.97 grams.
