Item Description

A lovely muti-crystal group of pink and green bi-colored Tourmalines from Aracuai. The piece is in excellent shape overall as all but one of the terminations is pristine, and the only bit of a damage is a very tiny nick. The crystals are rather gemmy, especially on the green terminations, which are almost WATER-CLEAR in areas. Further along the prism you can see a bit of a "cat's eye" chatoyant effect as you rotate the specimen in the light. The underside of the piece is actually partially hollowed out and you can see the beginning of the "scepter" style crystals that are found here and more famously at Barra do Salinas. This is certainly older material and hard to find on the market these days. It's also rare to find multiple parallel crystals like this from Brazil (I count 7 crystals for sure on the piece), as most are only singles or sometimes two crystals in parallel growth. The piece weighs 26.50 grams. Valued at $700-$900.
