Xenotime-(Y) on Quartz

Item Description

A classic example of the famous Xentoime-(Y) crystals from Novo Horizonte. The crystals from this locality are the most well known from any locality in Brazil. Xenotime-(Y) matrix specimens are incredibly rare and this is an attractive "toenaiL' with great composition from the 1990s finds in Novo Horizonte. We have a well-formed, 1.1 cm, dark amber, tetragonal prism of Xenotime-(Y) aesthetically sitting on a very sharp, well-formed, notably GEMMY colorless crystal of Quartz which happens to be included with small acicular golden Rutile "needles" and minor blades of silvery Hematite. A great matrix specimen of this yttrium phosphate.
