Large Halite crystals (old classic locale)

This is a monster-sized Halite crystal from the famous salt mines of Poland, that just startles people when they think about how large a natural halite can grow! Although somewhat worn (probably by natural water action in the pockets), and with some edge wear as shown in photos, this is VERY trivial compared to most other survivors of this large industrial mining complex and the specimen is nevertheless a superb impact piece and reference specimen of such an important economic mineral species. It is hard to find these on the market in such size, in part because of their softness and sensitivity to humid environment (do not buy this if you live in a humid environment, although in most A/C it should be fine... It must be stored in a bag or in a cool, dry, not humid, air conditioned environment). 858 grams - or just over 2 pounds!
