Item Description
The Huanzala Mine of Peru has arguably produced the world's finest pyrites and this specimen is an excellent example. Striking, mirror-bright, brass-yellow, cuboctahedrons comprise this sculptural LARGE CABINET specimen. The largest crystal is 3.3 cm and most of the crystals have striated faces. The textbook form and intense color and luster are top notch. Peripherywear and trivial bruising are noted, but this is a solid mass of crystallized pyrite! It has minimal damage, only to the periphery. Classic Huanzala material with several excellent display views! MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! The color is truly splendent brass-yellow. Hefty and impressive at 1600 grams. Valued $750
