Item Description

An old Dalnegorsk classics, this is a combination piece showing many species of the polymetallic suite that occurs here. It features gem golfballs of fluorite perched on top of this sulfide mix - Lustrous and translucent, gem crystals of fluorite, to 3 cm on an edge, are perched on a a matrix of galena, siliceous limestone, pyrrhotite and sphalerite. Despite all the metallics floating around this mine, the fluorite crystals are WATER-CLEAR and have no impurities, which is something this mine is known for in terms of its glassy gem fluorites.
