Item Description

A beautiful association specimen from the famous 79 mine featuring a very sharp, lustrous, bright yellow-orange colored "window pane" habit crystal of Wulfenite measuring 7 mm on beautifully contrasting white Hemimorphite on matrix. No damage to the Wulfenite, and it's just beautiful in person. A great piece for any Arizona collection or a suite of secondary ore minerals. Valued at $1,250. From the worldwide collection of famed Italian mineral collector, field collector and author, Francesco Bedogne of Sondrio, Italy (Collection #404). Bedogne wrote dozens of articles and several books about the mineralogy of Italian Alpine localities such as Val Bregaglia, Val Masino, Val Codera, Val Spluga, Valtellina and the famous Val Malenco. He was also the founder of the Valtellinese Mineralogical Institute.
