Item Description

Inesites from Hale Creek are iconic for the fact that they have a beautiful baby pink color, and they are some of the thickest prisms of the species extant. Inesite is often found around the world in very thin bladed or prismatic crystals, but Hale Creek specimens show excellent almost blocky form. This cabinet display specimen features many sharp, well-formed, attractive triclinic prisms measuring up to 1.0 cm scattered over the underlying matrix. Many of the crystals are pristine, but there are some contacted crystals here and there. A fine and aesthetic specimen of from this famous locality. The piece comes ith a classic label from noted rare species dealer Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, You can read Joe's biography here: http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1371
