Item Description

From the world famous locality, the Ojuela Mine, here we have one of the more recently mined and now classic Wulfenite / Mimetite combos. The display side of the specimen is covered with good quality, sharp, lustrous, translucent, yellowish-orange Wulfenite crystals in a less common tetragonal prismatic form which are sitting atop somewhat vitreous / velvety green spherical Mimetite. The matrix is the typical limonite / gossan for the locality. The largest Wulfenite measures 1.5 cm long, which is good size for the locality. This material is so attractive, and it will not be around forever, so if you want a piece, be sure to pick this one up. I'm sure there are plenty of you out there that remember the abundance of yellow Adamites from Mapimi on the market in the 1970s, and they're nearly all but nonexistent on the market. It should be noted how those Adamites have appreciated in value over the years as well. This one had a $750 price tag in the inventory.
