Item Description

Resinous, rich yellow colored, semi-radial Mimetite crystal groups are intergrown and free of matrix to create this eye-catching small cabinet / large miniature display specimen from the famous Ojuela Mine. The piece is very aesthetic with wonderful three-dimensional form and beautiful visceral appeal. The form of the Mimetite groups are hard to describe as they are elongated, but not your typical hexagonal narrow prisms, but they are not complete "spheres" either, just somewhere in between. The largest Mimetite group / cluster on the piece measures 2.3 cm long. I love the fact that each group is distinct, and fairly well-defined / separated which makes the piece all the more alluring. No major damage, just a tiny bit of roughness on the underside where it was removed from the pocket wall. I can even see a small tabular gemmy yellow Wulfenite crystal on the base of the specimen! Very good quality overall and very appealing. Priced at $750 in the inventory.
