Item Description

Jacksons Crossroads is famous around the world for producing some of the most beautiful, richly colored, eye-catching Amethyst specimens out there. The best of these crystals hold their own against any Amethyst specimens from virtually and other locality. Here we have a wonderful showy matrix specimen from this famous locality featuring a handful of very sharp, highly lustrous, stout Amethyst crystals measuring up to 2.3 cm long sitting atop small colorless Quartz prisms on host rock matrix. Looking closely, I cannot find any damage to the main Amethyst crystals, though there is a spot on the leftmost Amethyst where a bit of Quartz and rock are mixed together, but this isn't damage, just a bit of an overgrowth. I love the fact the gemminess of the Amethyst crystals along with their excellent form. I can even see a few small scepter habit crystals on the piece as well. Truly classic material from this famous locality in Georgia.
