Item Description

Elmwood is one of the great classic US localities, and has produced what are arguably some of the most recognizable Fluorite specimens in the world in terms of size, quality, color, gemminess and overall form. This amazing zinc-producing locality has produced some of the most iconic Fluorites from any world locale. This is a highly aesthetic, three-dimensional piece featuring sharp, lustrous, well formed, GEM/gemmy, cubic purple crystals of Fluorite with associated rhombic white Dolomite on matrix. I love how each crystal is isolated and stands out individually, yet all of them together make a complete and eye-catching specimen. You can see on some of the Fluorite cubes that they show really attractive tetrahexahedral modifications on the corners. No damage to any of the crystals on the display side, though there is a slight contact on the back, and the base is actually a cleaved, but you can set the piece down on this spot to make it display nicely. These Fluorites are hard to find on the market today, and very desirable for collectors. This piece goes back to the 1970s or 1980s. Priced in the inventory at $850.
