Item Description

When these pieces first came out, I fell in love with them and truly thought that that they were some of the most impressive, flashy and colorful Gypsum specimens from any world locality. Here we have a fantastic three-dimensional display specimen of this now classic material featuring a central "ball" of comprising, thin, compressed, razor-sharp, golden color, crystals of Gypsum which play host to several superb, GEM quality, soft golden-yellow color "fish-tail" twins measuring up to 3.7 aesthetically flaring out in several directions. This small cabinet complete "floater" specimen formed in a calcium clay/sediment and truly has no point of attachment whatsoever. I love the form of these pieces, and they truly deserve more attention and respect than I feel they've received. This specimen is fluorescent as well as phosphorescent as you can see in the last two photos ! Another important aspect of this specimen is that it is NOT repaired, which is important since so many were glued back together. Don't miss on these wonderful Canadian classic. Valued at $1,250 in the inventory for size, form, aesthetics and superior quality.
