Item Description

A very attractive small cabinet display specimen of Azurite from the famous contemporary locality at the Milpillas Mine. This piece features FINE quality, sharp, rather lustrous, deep blue, bladed crystals of Azurite measuring up to a full 3.1 cm sitting on a layer of beautiful green Malachite forming a really eye-catching specimen. The Azurite crystals are slightly gemmy near the edges when backlit. The main 3.1 cm crystal on the front of the piece has a slightly diminished luster as opposed to the rest of the piece, but it's still very attractive in person. The piece was priced in the inventory at $950. Great quality overall, and this material will only increase in value as the years go by, especially now that we're told the locality is possibly finished producing this material. It's some of the best crystallized Azurite to come out of any locality in quite some time.
