This Pure Potential mine is also called the "North Geronimo Mine", and this prolific locality has produced all sorts of ores, as well as a broad variety of collector specimens (though not many in very fine and aesthetic specimens). Here, you have excellent quality, semi-gemmy, super-bright red barrel-shaped and "hoppered" prismatic hexagonal crystals of Vanadinite, contrasting with an earlier generation of lighter-colored microcrystals on matrix. A RICH and colorful piece, with lots of "sparkle" to it. The largest crystal measures 6 mm. Very showy and hard to find in good cabinets like this. Valued at $1,200 in the inventory.
