Item Description

Tsumeb is the most prolific locality in mineral collecting history, and specimens are still highly sought after by collectors even though the mine has been closed for decades. This fantastic small cabinet display specimen hosts classic, sharp, well-formed, translucent, slightly smoky, twinned crystal groups of Cerussite measuring up to 3.6 cm on matrix. The piece is in great condition overall, as nearly every Cerussite is completely damage free, though the back of the largest group does have a contact (not visible from the display side). The piece comes with a free custom lucite display base. It's such a showy and aesthetic specimen of this beloved material. The value of specimens from Tsumeb seem to be rising by the minute, and good specimens like this are getting much harder to find on the market. The piece was priced at $2,000 in our inventory.
