In recent years, the Riemvasmaak Fluorites have found their way into the top tier of worldwide contemporary Fluorites. The iconic, desirable green color is certainly eye-catching and when you combine it with the larger sized octahedra and their fine gemminess, you get some great display specimen. This is a full cabinet sized specimen that is loaded with very sharp, textbook, gemmy, lovely green color octahedral crystals free of matrix. Looking closely, I really don't see any damage of note, save the edges where it was removed from the pocket wall, but every main octahedron in the center is essentially undamged (on the display side). The largest Fluorite octahedron measures 3.0 cm across. We had this piece priced at $2,000 in the inventory for the size, color, quality and gemminess of the Fluorites.
