Cerussite (large reticulated twinned group) (1,298 grams)

Item Description

A large and hefty group of beautiful smoky colored reticulated twinned Cerussite from New South Wales, Australia. The piece comes with a hand written label that gives no further locality information. I'm assuming it's from Broken Hill, but it's certainly possible that it could be from a lesser known deposit. With that said, it should be noted that the specimen is not without damage. There are several places on the piece that are contacted around the periphery. The central crystals are in good shape and it's not bashed in the front / display side, but it's certainly not damage free. The piece is big, and impressive for the species, but it's not a top quality display specimen. It's more of a large esoteric bragging rock kind of specimen as it's nearly impossible to find a reticulated Cerussites this size outside of Tsumeb. The accenting light green Malachite makes for a nice touch in areas. Lastly, PLEASE NOTE: This piece is fairly heavy with a weight of 1,298 grams, so an additional shipping charge will be required.
